Our world is awash with the gentle silence of the white falling snow...
Everywhere the quiet fills the courtyard with winter's shining glow...
The trees stretch in the cool blue winter air, joyful to be adorned by the angels...
A cozy day inside awaits with hot chocolate, old movies, and a good book...
Ohhhh so pretty. I always love the way snow looks day or night, especially when I don't have to shovel it or drive in it.
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of hot chocolate, old movies and book. Sounds perfect. Enjoy!
Me too! Here in the burbs the maintenance guy does the shoveling! Whoopee!
DeleteHow pretty!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to wish you your first Merry Christmas in your new digs! So I will now wish you a Happy New Year in your new digs!
Thanks! It's merry enough, in it's "little way"! LOL
DeleteTiny Christmas tree, tiny wreath, tiny Christmas cookies...you get it!
Nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks! :-)
DeleteI admit, I do appreciate the sound insulation of freshly falling snow and how it provides a quiet hush over the hustle and bustle of daily life. Thank you for the photos.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Back at ya!
DeleteIt IS quiet, isn't it? Wonder how that happens...
Beautiful pictures Deb! The quiet is the only thing I like about snow.
ReplyDeleteI grew up in Western PA before moving to the Carolina's and later Florida. While beautiful, I can honestly say I don't miss it at all.
ReplyDeleteThe only reason I am willing to endure winter is for the absolute joyful insanity of spring! Nothing like it for me!
DeleteFor years I thought I wanted to live in Florida but the horribly hot summers would drive me indoors just like the winter cold does here.
Plus, I hate BIG BUGS! LOL
Happy New Year and I'm glad someone got the snow that missed us here :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, I love the snowing. The snow that is the result...that I get tired of real quick. But, isn't the snowing marvelous?
