We're getting hit with an equal amount of snow right now. I'm hunkered down and looking forward to a restful day indoors. Best wishes and Happy New Year!
I've got a Vespa scooter. I don't put it in mothballs over the winter, because sometimes I can ride even in the middle of middle here in Boston. I keep it in a non-heated garage. Once a week I start it up just to keep it lubricated.
Yesterday it was minus 5 degrees. The Vespa, as always, started right up.
Even in the coldest winter, my scooter WANTS to go riding!
I did the exact same thing on the farm with my Ruckus and Met each winter. Uninsulated garage too. Never had a problem.
So that is what I am doing with my Buddy too. I almost succumbed to a battery tender set-up, but thought, naw, if it worked before it should keep on working.
I like to be able to sneak in a little ride whenever I can, even if it's only around the storage facility.

ReplyDeleteYou too!
DeleteBrrrr! Deb you are officially invited to Victoria, the land of rainy winter & virtually no snow. Year round scooting!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds great! See you soon! LOL
DeleteNo bueno. Kind of makes it hard to take that new scooter out.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the cold spell breaks and it melts before to long. Fingers crossed.
Not looking good for that!
DeleteDeb:
ReplyDeleteIt's all your fault. You're the one with the new scooter

DeleteTerrible cold is on the way here over the weekend and headed your way, no doubt! Look out and take care! What a way to start the new year!
ReplyDeleteYep, it's here. Continuing on into next week!

ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel any better, we had icy roads this morning. First time in weeks

Snow I can handle. I hate driving on ice!
