Skid Marks...

Things could be happening to slow down our running!

We have applied for a little bungalow style apartment a few counties over, nestled in some green, leafy burbs. Lots of great scooting potential too.

We are now in waiting mode to see if we get accepted.

Oh, yeah, and I may have found a nice "forever" home for my small dog.

Time will tell on both issues...

  2. That's good news! I hope the best for you and your two dogs. "A few counties over" sounds like a major change of scenery. City living?

    1. We can take our 4 Bichons, which is amazing.

It is "edge of the burbs" living. I am about 10 minutes from the "country". Lots of tree lined neighborhoods, parks, old 2 lane rural roads, all intertwined in an area that used to be farmland as much as 20 years ago. But it is laid out nicely and doesn't feel like "suburban blight". We lived there for 10 years before this and loved it. There is a Honda Powersports dealer 20 minutes away and a Harley dealer 1/10 of a mile away (not that it does ME any good!). Very nice area. I love it.

    1. I can be on my back roads in a jiffy. Lots of great places to explore on the scoot! Also shopping and restaurants galore!

In season I can park my scoot right off the deck and lock her to a tree. Off season I can put her in the next door storage unit that we are renting.

      Perfect!

  4. I hope you get the new place, it sounds perfect & maybe you will pick up some scooter mamas to ride with!

  6. Deb:

good luck on your move. Looks like you won't be so isolated and still get to ride your scooter. It seems to be working out

  7. Hey, Deb. Scooter accessory question- I don't have any place here to buy accessories, but wondered what generic mirrors you have found. I want some rectangular ones.

    1. I bought Ruckus mirrors at the Honda shop. They are sold on Ebay all the time. I paid $20 for mine. They are black.

The vision scan is incredible and I had them on the scoot first thing. I just could not see behind me safely with the little round ones, though they were cute.

  8. P.S.: You can see these mirrors on the Met in the August 23 post, last photo.

  10. You might try Battlescooter.com and Scooterworks.com in addition to Ebay.

  11. Thanks! I've looked at a ton of sites, those two included now. I wish I could see what I'm buying but there is no place up here and Green Bay may not have much to offer. So I might find something online and give it a try.

  12. Have you tried Motorcycle Superstore or just a local motorcycle dealer?
