    1. Doing ok. Just not riding much right now somewhat due to the heat, but more due to too many projects around job searching, lawn care, and occastional house hunting.

      Thanks for the good wishes~

  2. Amen on the heat thing. And chores. Yuck. Stinking chores...

What sort of job are you seeking?

    1. Right now I work part-time out of my home doing community education and marketing for a national non-profit in this rural Appalachian area of southern Ohio.

I wouldn't mind another "at home" gig to supplement my hours. Something more immediately profitable than hawking freelance writing projects.

Or maybe just work in a grocery store stacking produce!

I am really all for simplicity, happiness, and more time to ride my scooter and write. But I could use a bit more money...

  3. Napping is good. Sure wish I could nap more. Never been much of a napper, can't sit still that long.

    Cute poochie pic too.

    1. I didn't start my napping thing until the past year or so. I get up with the sun, am most active in the morning, the afternoon heat hits and I figure why not chill out for a few in the recliner?

This evolved into a little "doggie nap" around 2:30-4:00pm.

Taking a "siesta" is a great idea, especially while surrounded by 4 snoring Bichons!

  4. Afternoon snoozes are the best on a hot summer afternoon and now that I am on vacation I have taken a wee siesta and it is very refreshing.

    1. When you get "older", it becomes a sort of "mini vacation"! LOL

  5. Did you ever compare, check out the Piaggio Fly 150 or the pretty Yamaha Vino Classic?

    1. In 2007 when I got my first scoot I fell immediately in love with the little Ruckus. I "only had eyes" for it.

I've seen a Piaggio BV250 in person and admired it's looks and I've seen a Vino 50 and 125 in person as well. I have never ridden any of them.

I am strongly attracted to the Vino 125 as a second scooter someday, but not until I'd test ride one first to be sure.

And then not until next year at the earliest.

I'm pretty darn happy with my Honda Met for now.
