Happy Mother's Day!

We set out on a 4 day marathon of flower delivery for Mother's Day!

Eighty flower deliveries in 72 hours! Boy are we pooped!

But we had a great time and we hope you had a Happy Mother's Day!

  1. Didn't know you were doing this again. Hard work, but the independent delivery guy I knew made a surprisingly good living at it! Points to you for the hard work!

    1. I just help them out with big seasonal delivery periods (Mothers Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines) and as a back up if someone calls off or is on vacation.

I tried to do it full-time last year but then my car got stolen and my dog hi-jacked, if you recall. I got her back but was too shaken to go back out doing deliveries.

My "bread and butter" is a part-time job at a dialysis center which I've done since last summer. I love that job and it pays well, but I am always looking for some type of "physical" work to supplement that income and to get me working in the outdoors.

    2. That all sounds good. I'm glad the medical related job pays well. You might decide to save that physicality for play time! Also sounds like you make good social contacts for helping people with their gardening. ?

    3. This and that. Pretty much gigs where I am more or less freelancing and not beholden to a time clock the rest of the week. Flower delivery is one. I am working on some other directions for future.

  2. Such pretty flowers. Your pooch looks pretty tuckered out too, but such a sweet face.

    1. She is my co-pilot on little jobs around in the neighborhood in which I live. No more city runs for her.

She was dog-napped last summer on a delivery run and by the literal grace of God I got her back.

She just loves to go with me, so I took her out part of one day this time.

that sure is a lot of deliveries. If I were your pooch I would get tired just looking at you run around too. I'd imagine that you get a lot of nice smiles when "they" open the door

    1. It is interesting to see the variety of response when folks open the door, that is for sure.

I find it all to be very fulfilling and a lot of fun!
